Terms of service

Cancellation Policy 

We understand that life happens, but we ask that you give us 24 hour notice if you are unable to make your private lesson to give us the opportunity to fill your time slot. Please understand that our instructors keep themselves available for you, as well as we reserve floor space for your lessons.

If notice is given later the following will apply:

  • notice given between 6 and 24 hours before the lesson: we will be happy to reschedule your lesson to a later date within five days, subject to instructor’s availability. Rescheduling will waive the cancellation fee of $50.

  • notice given within 6 hours of your lesson: $50 cancellation fee will apply.

  • no-show: lesson is not refundable.

Group class series lessons are not refundable.

COVID-19 Phase 3 Opening Policies 

1.	Personal Hygiene:
•	If you are sick or have any signs of sickness, please stay home. We are happy to reschedule your lesson
•	If you show up and we feel uncomfortable, please respect our decision to send you home.
•	If you are here and you feel uncomfortable you can leave with no charge. 
•	Everyone should wash hands or use hand sanitizer both before and after every lesson.
•	We will keep the water and coffee machine available: please use sanitizer before and after using the machines!!!!

2.	Facemasks:
•	Masks should be worn when entering the facility
•	Masks should always be worn except when eating or drinking 
•	Exceptions to be made for wearing a mask are per management discretion (for health reasons, or persons of the same household dancing together)

3.	Ventilation: The Ballroom will be frequently ventilated 

4.	Personal Distancing:
•	Please distance yourself 6 feet apart from people that are not part of your household
•	We offer mobile app payments, online payments, or payments over the phone, which can be made in advance
•	Only one person in the restroom at a time

5.	Chairs are positioned so that couples can space themselves 6 feet apart. Please do not move the chairs in the lobby. 

6.	Private Lessons:
•	Lessons are given by appointment only 
•	The instructor is to keep records of: date and time of lessons, and student name
•	Face masks are NOT required while dancing if both parties agree, and if there is no other person on the dance floor, but should be worn before and after the lesson
•	When teaching a couple, the instructor should stay at least 10 feet away from

7.	Contact Tracing:
•	Every customer will need to sign the Charlottesville Ballroom liability waiver and provide a contact phone number
•	Individuals must fill out and sign the questionnaire at each lesson/event, even if they have signed in the past

8.	The Ballroom will be sanitized as follows:
•	Common touch areas (door push plates, doorknobs, light switches, bathroom faucets/handles, water fountain buttons, etc.) will be wiped down frequently
•	sign-in clipboards and pens will be wiped down before and after use
•	Music equipment, will be wiped down before and after each lesson 

9.	Travel:
•	If you have been travelling by plane, or in any other way where adhering to the CDC guidelines was impractical, we ask you to self-isolate for 2 weeks. 
•	If you can show a negative Covid19 test result, taken 7 days after your return, you are welcome to return to the Ballroom.
